PARENTS' NEWSLETTER - AUTUMN TERM 2020

Dear Parents,

The children have now all started school and have settled really well, making friends and forging strong relationships with staff.  Although we are having to work in different ways we hope you agree that the children are enjoying their time in nursery.

Thank you for your support this half-term.  These are very challenging times for us all and we really appreciate your understanding and co-operation as we try to keep everyone safe at nursery.  Don't hesitate to ask about anything you need to know, we will do our best to help you.

This half-term we have been concentrating on settling children in, getting to know them and you.  We have been checking levels of language, clarity of speech, self-help skills, fine and large motor skills, colour recognition etc.  Your help would be appreciated in encouraging your child to put his/her coat on unaided, and giving practise in colour matching and naming, drawing etc.  We are giving every child a bag of activities and resources today for you to use with your child at home and links to useful websites that give ideas on how to keep them busy.

After half term we shall be holding parent telephone conversations to give feedback on your child’s progress and development.

The school term dates and holidays for this academic year can be found in your copy of the school prospectus and are also displayed on the school notice board.  Parents are reminded that Monday 2nd November is a scheduled teacher training day and school is closed to all children on this day.

We break up for a week's half term holiday today and children return to school on Tuesday 3rd November.  We hope you all have a lovely break.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs.H.Masaun
