Marsh Hill Nursery School

About Us

Marsh Hill Nursery School has been open since the 1940’s. We are an 'outstanding' Nursery School (Ofsted 2018) providing excellent care and education for 2 -4-year-old children living in Witton and the surrounding area. We offer both part time (morning or afternoon) places for those children eligible for 15 hours funded places alongside a full time provision for those children eligible for 30 hours funded places.

We have the benefit of being purposely built and resourced for young children, so they have the very best start on their educational journey. We all hope that children will have a wonderful experience at Nursery and make the most of the opportunities that we provide. Working closely with parents and carers our aim is to develop a life- long love for learning.

Children are assigned to a specific class, and during visits you will be introduced to the lead practitioner and class team which will include your child’s key worker. A key worker is the grown up who is your child’s main contact and they will spend time getting to know and supporting your child.

Our aim is to give children the best care and education possible in our 'outstanding' nursery setting. Our staff are very highly qualified and they focus on the children having fun and learning while they are playing.

We currently have three classes which have a main classroom, alongside a purpose built library room. We have recently renovated our extensive outdoor area which boasts spacious  grass and soft surfaces. Our outdoor provision is extensively resourced with an adventure play area, music garden, large sandpit, a bike track, large mud pit and digging area, mud kitchen, a lookout cabin, a growing area and a forest schools area.
